Sick Cupcakes
Cupcake ideas:
Sick cupcakes: This is the time of year when everyone's getting sick, so here are some ideas on how to decorate cupcakes:
Draw a thermometer on with frosting/icing.
Use edible paper and wad it up so it looks like a tissue, and stick it on top.
(There are not that many more ideas. Sorry.)

WOW THATS HORRIBLE
Hi everybody! Now, I want to know your opinion about this:
Who was watching the Oscars last night? I was. Then, at one part, I was totally and deffinitly HORRIFFEID!
Ted, the bear from the movie 'Ted' came out and started talking. Saying one horrible word over, and over. And I'm thinking: The Oscars are supposed to be fancy. And these horrible words are ruining it!
Yep. That's right. Everyone watching it was horriffeid.
So, yeah. Just letting you know.

Cherry Blossoms!
Its almost cherry blossom time... almost. I love the cherry blossoms! If you have ever seen them in DC, they are pretty cool to look at ( on the national mall:) They usually start popping open in late March! I guess I have a little ways to go.

But these pretty pink blossoms call for some cupcakes. Here are some cherry-themed recipes to jump-start your spring. Not that its spring yet... wishful thinking on my part. I am getting a little tired of winter and I am totally ready to break out the shorts. I guess I'll have to wait another month for that.

Let's Talk Budget
Let's talk budget:
How to spend smart on things for baking your cupcakes
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Supplies:
Cupcake tins: Can be bought cheaply. If you see an over-priced set of them, it's best to say, "pass."
Cupcake pans: Buy a few big ones. Say you buy 2 big cupcake pans. They'd probably be priced less than 5 half size cupcake pans.
Wooden spoons: It's good to have a wooden spoon. But they shouldn't be sold over $5.00. Otherwise, pass and don't get that spoon.
Aprons: Good to have if your passionate about baking. If not, then just make sure you wear clothes you wouldn't mid getting dirty. Buy an apron because of these things:
Quality
Size
Use
Need
Or Q.S.U.N.
Bowls: No expensive metal for a casual baking bowl. For a serving bowl, feel free to choose any you like, though.
Ingredients:
Let's face it, food can be expensive. But don't try to buy the cheapest thing you can. It matters how good the product actually is, rather than it's price. But here's an example of over-priced food: 1 bag powdered sugar (from Paris) $15.00 over some other brand of powdered sugar that tastes just as good. Buy ingredients smartly.
Well, that's all I have for now. Buh-bye, everybody!

CC newsletter
Hi! I was thinking... maybe we should start a CC newsletter.
You could read things about the CC, (it would be no comments allowed, because in newspapers there are no sections to comment.)
It would be on this site, but we would have people 'subscribe' to us, (not real subscribing, just in the comments for our blog tell us what yopu would like to be called.) Then, we would use the names of everyone who 'subscribed' and say "This newsletter is to be read by ______, ________, _________, _________." Yeah. Just lots of people.
So 'Subscribe'to our newsletter!

The Cupcake Way: A guide to understanding how the CC works :)
The Cupcake Way: A guide to understanding how the CC works :)
Here's how we make our cupcakes:
*Take the order
*Find a recipe to use
*Give each worker a part to do in making the cupcakes
*When batter is ready, put in oven
*Take cupcakes out of the oven, and repeat only doing it for frosting.
So, that's how a kitchen needs to operate for fast, easy, {clean(?)} fun baking!
TIP: DO... Ask for help if you need it.
DON'T... Think you'll know everything right away.
More coming next time! Have people look at the blog. Although, just read our first post because there ARE RULES about how, and who can use our blog. 'Till next time!

Happy Valentines Day!!!
Happy Valentines Day!
Okay, V-day isn't over quite yet. Because we have something fun 4 U 2 try!
In my class, this whole week, we did this thing called 'Secret Valentine'. It was like secret Santa.
So last Friday we picked names from a bag and that's the person we had to give two gifts to.
Today was the revealing day.
I couldn't believe who had me! One of my best friends! (Of course, I asked her who she got, and she said she got someone else so she wouldn't spoil it for me.)
We also had to give an additional gift for revealing.
We recently had something my school does called 'The Bake Sale', so my whole grade baked things.
I, naturally, baked cupcakes. Red Velvet for V-day.
My friend who was my secret velentine, she baked pumkin pie cupcakes and gave one to me.
But that wasn't the whole revealing gift.
She said she forgot to bring the gift she was going to get me, (She told me what it was: Nail polish, lip gloss, ect.) so she brought one of her pumkin pie cupcakes and gave it to me.
She said she'd give me the real gift on Monday. Not Friday, because this Friday we're off school.
(I know, lucky us, right)
Anyway, the point of this post was to let you know:
1: Play the 'Secret Valentine' game.
2: Bake cupcakes for bake sales. (You might have one, some day!)
3: Happy V-day!
<3 p=""> A CC worker!
P.S. I think we should type the first letter of our name so you know who's posting these things.

Secrets to sucess!!
Secret to sucess
-------------------
How to be a great cupcake baker: (Shh, it's a secret)
5 ways how!
1) Remember this: The costumer is always right. Even if you HATE your costumer, you should treat them the way you'd like to be treated, and BAM! They're telling everyone how great your buisness is!
2) Measure carefully! You could make a mistake by saying this: "I'm not going to use a measuring cup. It won't make a difference!" WRONG: It will!
3) Go with what's going on: If Valentines Day is coming up, theme you cupcakes on V-day. Themed cupcakes sell more then normal ones. You'd be suprised how many people but things just because they think they look cute.
4) Wear an apron! It's important to be clean. That way every five minutes your not changing outfits because you: Got flour on them, got chocolate on them, got butter on them. And worst of all, and why you really should wear an apron, if you get FOOD COLORING on them!!! (I don't think that comes out of clothes.)
And number 5) Last but not least: Have fun while you bake! If you don't like baking, then don't do it. It's that simple. Some things in life you have to do no matter what. Example: Homework, go t school, go to work, ect.) If you do like baking... Do it and enjoy it!!!
Comment if you liked it!

Food Critic: yellow cupcakes
Food critic artical with the youngest Cousin's Cupcakes worker:
What did you think of the yellow cake with chocolate frosting cupcakes that the CC baked?
Bad.
What was bad about them?
The taste.
What kind taste was it. I tried the cupcakes, and I agree, they were bad! To unflavorful in my opinion.
Dry. Too dry.
On scale of one (moist) to ten (completely dry) what would you rate the cupcakes?
Ten. Completely dry. Right? Is ten good? Is it?
Ten is a bad rating, it means completely dry.
They're completely dry!
Well this is the end of this interview/food critic. We hope you'll keep reading! Please do! For more about these cupcakes look at our older post : danger of food networks yellow cupcake recipe!
