Cupcake Tips! (for the bakers out there)

With New Years coming up, everyones excited for parties and treats. Cupcakes would be perfect!
You've gone to birthday parties where they've done something new and had cupcakes instead of cake. I had cupcakes at one of my parties! Here are some tips for making cupcakes:

Cupcakes to bland? Core them out and fill them! It gives more flavor than just frosting the top which you should still do besides filling them.
Do your cupcakes involve some salt? Most sweet treats do have salt in them. Measure out carefully. A little salt goes a long way!
Always use cupcake tins. I've seen someone choose not to use tins. The cupcakes burned and broke when they were taken our of the pan! If your making cupcakes, tins should be on your shopping list.
Don't memorize! If you think you know the what to put in, don't do it. There are strict rules to follow when you use a recipe. You have to be exact. If you do, you have yummy cupcakes!
Making lots of cupcakes; Take your time! Don't rush or here are some words you might use to describe the cupcakes. Sloppy. Messy. Yucky. Ugly. Gross! Try to avoid that and take your time!

And please, don't be too buzy baking. Take the time to enjoy New Years! Or you might be baking as it goes from 2012 to 2013! Please, if we know you, do post! And read our artical about the cupcake vote. Posting back votes ends Jan 30th!

Danger Of Food Nework's Yellow Cupcake Recipe!

WARNING: The following message may save lives of cupcakes everywhere!

If you know about a certain cake/cupcake flavor, yellow cake, you all know it's simple. But it can get messed up easily. Food Network's yellow cake recipe that they posted ended up like cornbread. Good cornbread, but not a cupcake. So we filled the inside of each cupcake with the frosting we were going to use on top of the cupcakes. Choclate frosting. They had MUCH more flavor. So sometimes even Food Network can have a recipe that doesn't work out.

So if your recipe ever turns out wrong, do what we did and think of a creative way to fix it!

Hope you have fun baking, sharing, and reading our blog!

Updates AND Pictures!

We have sold, so far, two different kinds of cupcakes. Yellow cake with chocolate frosting (found on foodnetwork.com) and red velvet, which turned out to be pink velvet. With cream cheese frosting. (found in "The Cupcake Diaries" by Georgetown Cupcake). We hope you'll order online and offline. Once again, no people who we don't know can post on the blog. Also, it's a pretty good buisness for 3 people operating it.
